Raven - HP-2020.03

Female Cat aged Senior.

Raven is a long-haired, female tabby with the look of a Norwegian Forest cat, born in 2012. She is presented here as a Lending A Helping Paw kitty. She is shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she is quite friendly. She enjoys playing with a feather wand, loves being pet using grooming gloves, and occasionally will join you for lap time. She is very food-motivated and very smart, so she is good a problem solving. Her host family has begun using clicker training to direct her toward a wand. Raven had a rough first couple of years of her life, being raised in a hoarding situation. As a result of that, she will tend to eat too much if food is left out all the time. She is currently being fed via a slow-release food ball. It takes a while for her to get to know and trust people. She does not like to be picked up or touched on the paws. She can be assertive and lack boundaries with other cats, so it may be best for her to be the only cat in the house. But, she may do well with a dog. Raven in up to date on her shots and microchipped. The grooming gloves she enjoys and her favorite cat tree come with her. She is looking for a nurturing home where she can be played with and loved. As a Lend A Paw kitty, adoption arrangements will be made with her current caregiver. To learn more about Raven, contact ACAT at 907-982-2228.
