Female Cat aged 1 year 2 months.
Heyhey is a short-haired spayed female tabby born 6/07/19. She is very affectionate and loves attention. She is feline-leukemia positive. She and her siblings were left behind with their mother by their previous family. ACAT was brought in to rescue the family. Heyhey is dewormed and has her kitten shots. Heyhey is very playful, but can be stitch at times. She likes to play with the mouse and jumping from one platform the to the next on the cat tower. Heyhey does well with kids. Feline-leukemia positive kitties can live a relatively healthy life for years, but will expose unvaccinated kitties to the disease. They should not be in direct contact with cats that have not been vaccinated regularly against the leukemia virus. Feleuk-positive kitties may have a compromised immune system. This disease does not affect humans or dogs. It is a highly variable disease, with outcomes ranging from early death to the animal eliminating the disease from its body and living a healthy life. Please consult your vet before considering a special needs kitty. Reputable information on feline leukemia is available from the Veterinary Partner website. Please consult your vet for more information if you are considering adopting this kitty at a very reduced adoption fee. Heyhey is fostering in Palmer.
