Buddy - 20-07-01

Male Cat aged 8 years 9 months.

Buddy is a handsome and lovable lilac-point Siamese mix neutered male, likely born in 2011 or 2012. Buddy's caretaker rehabilitated him from an early life outside, and has trained him to walk on a harness. He loves attention. He isn't afraid of household noises. He does fine with children. Buddy loves lap time and being combed. But left outside alone, Buddy will quickly revert to his old ways and hide. He cannot be an indoor/outdoor cat, or be homed where there is a significant risk of his escaping. He is used to being harnessed and tethered at times when he might otherwise be at escape risk. He will need to learn to trust a new owner, so there will be a transition period. Potential adopters should understand patience will be required. Inexperienced pet owners are not good prospects for this handsome lad. Buddy is presented here as a Lending a Helping Paw kitty, meaning he remains in the care of the woman who has rescued and rehabilitated him, not ACAT. He is up to date on his shots, neutered and microchipped. Adoption arrangements will be made with his caregiver. He is located in Wasilla. To learn more about Buddy, contact ACAT at 982-2228 or outreach@alaskacat.org after filling out the preadoption application on the gallery page.
